Kedarnath
The popular Hindu shrine is situated at the source of River Mandakini.
It is privileged to be counted among the twelve jyotirlingas of Lord
Shiva. According to the Hindu traditions the Kedarnath Temple was built

Badrinath
The holy shrine is one of popular Chard Dham destinations in
Uttarakhand. It occupies a prominent position in the Chamoli district of
the state. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Badrinath attracts thousands of
pilgrims every year. The present structure of the Badrinath Temple was
constructed by the royal houses of Scindia and Holkar.
Gangotri
It is the place where the divine Indian River Ganga came into existence.
According to Hindu traditions, goddess Ganga manifested herself here to
let off the sins of King Bhagirathi's sons. A Gorkha commander named
Amar Singh Thapa constructed the Gangotri Temple here, in dedicated to
goddess Ganga.
Yamunotri
This is the place from originates the holy River Yamuna. The Yamunotri
shrine occupies a position in the lap of the Garhwal Himalayas. The
entire Himalayan panorama is worth watching from here. Trekkers can also
have a lot of fun hiking along the riverbank.
Hemkund Sahib
The shrine is held in equal regard both by the Hindus and the Sikhs.
The place features a lake and is also referred to as Lokpal Lake. If you
start from Ghangharia, you can reach Hemkund Sahib after undertaking a
trek of 6 hours. Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh guru used to meditate
on the banks of the lake situated here.
Haridwar
The shrine is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas, on the right
banks of River Ganga. It is at point from where River Ganga commences
its journey through the northern plains of India. Haridwar has become
all the most popular among tourists for being the venue of world popular
Kumbh Mela.
Rishikesh
The holy town is serves as the entranceway to the Chardham destinations.
Also referred to as the 'Tapo Bhumi', Rishikesh is highly revered as it
is the place where gods used to meditate. Today, the pilgrimage town
features multiple centres of yoga and meditation.
Mussoorie
Popular among tourists as the 'Queen of Hill Stations' Mussoorie even
today retains its old-world charm. The salubrious climate and the
